Since childhood, she discovered her love for painting, but it was during the pandemic that she started to use this kind of technique. Later she began to take them with her on weekends and holidays to paint outdoors, and at the same time she began to find her artistic style, which she defines as spontaneous and colourful.

Aunque viajar y pintar suena como la aventura perfecta, la artista también ha tenido que enfrentar muchos desafíos, como el clima, la búsqueda de un buen lugar para pintar y el tiempo limitado. Sin embargo, siempre mantiene una actitud positiva: «Incluso si la pintura final no es perfecta, siempre guardo un buen recuerdo del proceso».

The Italian artist began her journey in Mexico because she was interested in discovering the culture of South America. Her most memorable experience was painting at the base of a waterfall in Colombia, where the force of the water and the wind created a difficult environment for painting. 

Asimismo, ha admitido que su obra favorita hasta ahora es la de Machu Picchu, en Perú. No por el resultado, sino por el significado que tiene para ella. «Estar allí, pintando frente a esta impresionante ciudad antigua enclavada en las montañas, ¡fue surrealista!» Además, ha relatado que durante todo el camino hasta Machu Picchu estuvo lloviendo, pero al llegar a la cima el clima mejoró. «La montaña y la ciudad estaban ocultas por nubes que se alejaron lentamente revelando la belleza del lugar. Solo tuve una hora para terminar mi pintura hasta que comenzó a llover de nuevo. Me siento realmente agradecida por esta experiencia».

How has her life changed?

Su estilo de vida actual le ha enseñado a plasmar lo que observa con unas pocas pinceladas, de esta forma puede disfrutar de los lugares que visita. Además, al ser una actividad que suele provocar curiosidad, su timidez se ha ido desvaneciendo al convivir con la gente local que se acerca a verla pintar. Lo que en un principio la incomodaba, se ha convertido en una forma muy agradable de conocer y charlar con los lugareños, quienes siempre tienen palabras agradables para ella y su trabajo.

On the other hand, she talked about how travelling around the world has helped her to better understand different cultures and customs. It has also taught her that no matter where people come from, we are all the same. 

As for her art, the artist hopes that her paintings convey the emotions she feels when she visits new places and that they inspire others to do the same.

She recommends anyone to travel and discover new places and realities, as this helps people grow as human beings. Furthermore, she believes that painting while travelling makes the journey more enjoyable and memorable.

Después de pasar 9 meses en América Latina, actualmente se encuentra en el Sudeste Asiático. «Esta segunda parte de mi viaje acaba de comenzar, así que seguiré viajando durante el resto de este año por esta hermosa parte del mundo», ha concluido.
